How to wash your synthetic hair products

To wash a wig, follow these steps:

Step 1:

Before washing your hair piece it is advisable to gently brush out the tangles from ends to roots.

Step 2:

Then, in a sink or basin, mix tepid water (25 degrees) with shampoo and immerse the piece. Gently swirl and let soak for 2 minutes.

Step 3:

Rinse the piece in cold water until all of the shampoo is removed.

Step 4:

Refill the basin with tepid water and a dash of fabric conditioner and allow the piece to soak for 10 minutes.

Step 5:

After that, rinse the conditioner out with cold water.

Drying Synthetic Hair Products

Step 6:

Wrap your wig in a towel and gently pat out excess water. Do not twist or brush the hair while wet.

Step 7:

For a wig or half wig, gently fluff it up whilst it is still a bit damp and allow it to air dry on a wig stand (Avoid using a hair dryer or exposing the wig to direct heat). Once the wig is dry, use a wide-toothed comb to brush it out.

It's important to note that synthetic wigs can't be washed as often as human hair wigs, around 2-4 times a year is recommended for synthetic wigs and once a month for human hair wigs.
